Turning off Smartpay Receipts

You can turn off your Smartpay customer and/or merchant receipts to save paper and reduce the amount of time it takes to complete a sale in Lightspeed.  If a customer wants a receipt you can print or email a GST receipt from Lightspeed.

  1. From the Smartpay terminal make sure the screen shows your site name plus SmartConnect.
  2. Press the Func key + #1 Quick Access + #2 Receipts
  3. Press #1 for Merchant RCPT 
  4. You will be prompted for a password – this is the last 4 digits of the terminals serial number located on the back of your terminal - Enter
  5. Tap the Change option on the screen to change from Enabled to Disabled – Tap OK
  6. Press #2 for Customer Rcpt
  7. Tap the Change option on the screen to change from Enabled to Prompt – Tap OK
  8. Press #3 for Prompt Timeout and make sure it is set to the minimum 5 seconds.  When a transaction is sent to the terminal and the customer has paid you can press the Red X to cancel the prompt to print and close the sale faster.
