Ensuring New Products Print Production Dockets

Once you have added new products to the menu you need to identify which printer the production docket will be sent to.

1. Login to Lightspeed using your email address and password. (If you are in the POS click the POS button and choose Back Office.)
2. Once in the back office click My Site. If you have more than one site check at the bottom left you are in the correct site. If not then click this box -> click on the arrow at the top next to the site showing and then select the correct site.
         
3. Click the Printers tab.
    
4. The printers screen will show each of the printers you have setup for the site selected.  Click on Assign Products to the right of the printer you want the new product to print to. In this example a breakfast item has been added that needs to print to the Back Kitchen printer.
    
5. A list of all your products will appear sorted by category.  If some products have been selected from a category to print to your selected printer, a dash will appear in the check box next to any category name.  If the entire category is set to print then a tick will appear in the box otherwise if no items are selected the box will be blank.
    
6. From the image above you can see 11/12 Breakfast products have been selected to print to the Back Kitchen.  Click on the arrow at the far right of the screen to expand the category.  Any items not selected to print will have a blank checkbox.
          
7. Click in the checkbox to add the product to the printer.   You can also click on the category heading without expanding the list if you want all products to print.
       
8. Click “Save” to save the changes.  The screen will automatically close and return to the printers list.  Click “Save” again on the main printers page.
    
9. If products have been added mid-shift you will need to sync all registers to ensure the change is pushed down to them.
