Splitting Payments

Lightspeed allows you to split payments for an order by product, percentage or payment amount/type.  This document outlines splitting by product.

Splitting an Order by Product/s

Split by product helps when guests want to pay for specific products, whether it be what they ordered or picking up the drinks as well.

1. From POS, select Checkout
    
   
    
2. Select Split Payment
    
3. Select Split by product
    
4. Tap on products from the left panel to move to the right side that the customer wants to pay for.   Note:  an item currently can not be split by a decimal ie ½ bottle of wine.
    
   
    
5. Click Check Out proceed with the payment as usual.
   
    
6. Once the payment has been completed you will select the next item/s to check out.  Repeat for all customers.  At any time you can exit the split page by click on Exit Split. The order will remain open if there are any items left to pay for. Once all items have been paid for the order will close and you will be returned to your default POS screen.
